[NMR Pipe Protector Verification Results] Hospital #H
Preventing red rust leaching in the hospital's air conditioning chilled and hot water piping and demonstrating rust prevention effectiveness!
At Hospital #H, which was built 48 years ago, the air conditioning chilled and warm water piping using galvanized steel pipes (SGP) has shown significant deterioration due to red rust, leading to leaks. Therefore, we installed the red rust prevention piping extension device "NMR Pipe Protector." Before installation, we sampled the circulating chilled and warm water, and it was found that the total iron content in the water was 2.5 mg/l, indicating that red rust corrosion was progressing within the piping. Four weeks after the installation of our product, the total iron content in the chilled and warm water had significantly decreased to 0.4 mg/l. A sampling conducted six years after installation showed that the total iron content in the water further decreased to 0.2 mg/l, completely halting the progression of new red rust in the air conditioning chilled water piping. The existing red rust had transformed into insoluble, passivated black rust, with a volume reduced to one-tenth. [Introduction Overview] ■ Hospital Location: Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture ■ Hospital Overview: 41 years old, 2 basement floors and 9 above-ground floors with 606 beds ■ Installation Date: December 2013 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
